Grey skies
By Cassandra C

Grey skies
Trickling gutters
Muddy beach
Rain comes and goes, like our misery.

The clouds rock back and forth,
Sun nowhere in sight
Cars swerve down along the street
Hopefully two ends won’t meet.

The birds fly for cover,
People wearing umbrellas over their heads
Suddenly the wind picks up,
And blows them inside out.

The cloud and sun are fighting
The cloud shoots more tears
But the sun wins with its,
Wonderful warm rays of light

The quiet and deadly silence,
After the sky’s buckets of tears
Frightens the children inhabiting
Yet, lifts up their gloomy moods
